Here are some local events we’re looking forward to this month:

True/False Film Fest 2023 // Thursday, March 2nd - Monday, March 6th

True/False is back in downtown Columbia, MO for its 20th annual festival! All weekend, a selection of the year’s best nonfiction films will be projected on screens throughout The District and the University of Missouri campus. And that’s not all—there will also be concerts, immersive art installations, and late night parties. Don’t miss out on one of Columbia’s biggest annual events!

Moms Who Coffee at Toasty Goat Coffee Co. // Friday, March 3rd

Looking for a time and place for moms to relax and relate with other moms? You found it! Come along or bring your kiddos - they can play in the kids play area at the coffee shop! This group is for moms with older kids, moms of littles, and moms with littles on the way. This will be a weekly event so add it to your calendar and come join in the fun!

Self Love Club at MoonYoga // Sunday, March 5th

Join Amber each month to slow down time, breathe and check in. In this class, you’ll take the time to remember who you are and who you strive to be as you connect through movement, writing, meditation, sound and optional sharing.. Each month will differ but have the same idea and goal - SELF LOVE!

For the March Self Love Club, MoonYoga is celebrating their 4th birthday by bringing you 4 different ways to heal! The session will start with a nice gentle slow warm up into a slow flow. Then head to your feet to build a little heat. These poses link together with your breath. From there you’ll take it back down to the mat to their restorative Yin practice. The class will close with writing prompts and guided meditation focused on Self Love.

Toddler Time at Speckled Frog Toys & Books // Wednesday, March 8th

Need to get out of the house with your toddler? Join Speckled Frog Toys & Books for Toddler Time every Wednesday for an activity catered to their 12 months to 36 months old friends. Socialize with other bigs and support the littles while they explore and learn. Stop by and check it out - it's FREE!

Plume Spring Open House // Thursday, March 9th - Saturday, March 11th

History on Elm: Sci-Fi Fandom in Missouri // Tuesday, March 14th

“Sci-Fi Fandom in Missouri” from the records of Celestial Intervention Agency, the USS Discovery, and the St. Louis Science Fiction Society. A. J. Medlock, coordinator of the St. Louis Research Center, will take the audience far into the galaxy and beyond as we explore the popularity of science fiction clubs and organizations in the state. Medlock's presentation will include posters and snapshots from early St. Louis Archon events. Click here for a full schedule of programs in this series.

Marriage Matters Rock Climbing at CoMo Rocks // Friday, March 17th

How active are you with your spouse? Do you go on walks together, ride bikes on the trail or play pickle ball with friends? How about rock climbing? Whether physical activity is already a staple in your marriage or you can’t remember the last time you worked out together, you’re invite you to join COMO Rocks, a fairly new climbing gym in Columbia. The facility offers a variety of climbing and activities including Auto Belays, Top Rope and Bouldering. Como Rocks has climbing routes for all climbing abilities and levels. Out on the Town Public Tour with Columbia Culinary Tours // Saturday, March 25th

Spend your afternoon out on the town enjoying food and drink samples from some of the District’s best restaurants. Sample some of the most delectable foods in the area while you have fun with friends or new ones in this public tour! This 2 ½ hour tour is full of food, fun, and a little bit of Columbia’s rich history. Walk around the District with our fantastic tour guide, who shares interesting facts about the history of the area. Stop at great restaurants, shops, and eateries along the way, sampling the best food and beverages around.

*This tour is geared towards guests 21 and over.

Fairy/Gnome Magic Garden Class & Barnyard Snuggle at Four Oaks Farm // Tuesday, March 28th

This is the perfect Spring Break activity for kids here in Columbia! Fun and educational, Four Oaks Farm will teach the class to cultivate their garden and how to take care of it. Kiddos can paint & decorate their 10 in. pot, then handpick fairies, gnomes, and animals to create the perfect magical garden! They will decorate their magical garden with miniature figures, plants, and elements, the purpose of which is to be a place for fairies/gnomes to live.

Then, enjoy a barnyard snuggle with all the new spring babies at the farm (goats, chicks, ducklings, mini donkeys, pigs, peacocks, etc)! If weather permits, they will also give rides on the cow train (included with purchase of ticket). Click here to get yours now!

*NOTE: Adults are required to be present and continuously supervising their child during any activities on the farm. Anyone creating a fairy/garden or participating in snuggles must purchase a ticket (i.e. parents who are simply supervising, do not need a ticket).
